Paris: A Timber Theater by the Seine Dedicated to Shakespeare

In the gardens of the City of Paris, a unique theater was born. It’s an 11-meter high wooden structure with an unusual shape, designed to resemble the theaters in London from the sixteenth century, specifically to showcase the works of Shakespeare.

This theater, known as Tour Wandering and Elizabethan Theater, is a distinctive and special venue. It mimics the structure of the Globe Theatre, the famous London theater associated with William Shakespeare, whose modern reconstruction is located near Blackfriars Bridge on the banks of the Thames.

The Tower – Theatre has three floors and can seat 300 people. Remarkably, it can be dismantled by just ten people in three days, which is likely why it’s referred to as a tramp. If you’re in Paris and are interested in seeing a show or snapping a photo of this unique theater, performances start on March 20th with “Romeo and Juliet” and end on May 21st with “Twelfth Night.” Tickets are 34 euros each.
